MARGAO: A labourer, identified as Rahul Henron, 21, and a native of Uttar Pradesh, sustained grievous injuries after falling from the roof of the Margao Municipal Market. The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon while work was underway to cover the market building roof with tin sheets.
Police stated that the injured labourer has been admitted to Goa Medical College (GMC) in Bambolim for treatment. The work on the roof had commenced in the morning, and the accident took place in the afternoon.
Authorities have visited the site and conducted all necessary legal formalities.
