However, running a political party effectively is not an easy task and one should be cautious before launching a new party,” said PWD Minister Sudin Dhavlikar while reacting to the new party launched by the BBSM on Sunday.
He was speaking to reporters after inaugurating a 12-seater Sulabh toilet complex at Birla Zuarinagar on Sunday evening.
“In the past, we have seen how Save Goa had become ‘Sev Goa’ and the party was abolished, later. Similarly, there are many instances where people have formed parties, but they all disappeared. I don’t understand how BBSM will take forward its new party. At this stage, I don’t want to comment much on this, however, I feel that in Goa besides BJP and Congress, MGP is the only party that will matter most in political matters,” he said.
He further said, “I am proud to say that MGP is Goa’s oldest party.”
Commenting on the alliance with BBSM’s new party, he said, “We have an alliance with BJP and we want to continue with the same during the 2017 assembly polls.”
Meanwhile, speaking at the inaugural function of the toilet project, Minister Alina Saldanha said, “These twin 12-seater toilets were utmost important to the people of Birla Zuarinagar.”
