PANJIM: Law Minister Aleixo Sequeira on Wednesday appealed to the legal fraternity to reach out to the common man in the remotest area.
“Reaching out to the common man in the remotest area and the unreached is an act of doing great service to the nation,” Sequeira said.
Speaking at the inauguration of the State-level ‘Hamara Samvidhan Hamara Samman campaign’ under the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, commemorating the 75th year of India as a Republic, the Minister said, “You all have the responsibility to secure and preserve the Constitution of India. Helping and reaching out to the common man gives one satisfaction knowing they have walked the extra mile.”
Sequeira appealed to the lawyers to think of the common man and not make money a priority.
“Let us walk together and make Goa a better place to live in. The government will provide all cooperation to help legal services to reach the common man,” he said.
