PANJIM: A Lower Division Clerk working at the COVID Vaccination Centre at Peddem-Mapusa was discharged from duty with immediate effect on Saturday for making objectionable comments about a woman volunteer.
After the incident was brought to his notice, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane spoke to Secretary (Health) and told him to take up the issue with the North Goa Collector.
In a tweet, Rane said such behaviour will not be tolerated by the government and warned that stringent action will be taken against the culprit.
Further, an FIR will be filed against the LDC, Rane said. The LDC was requisitioned for duty at the COVID Vaccination Centre at Peddem-Mapusa.
