MARGAO: The TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has warned the industries to stop fooling around the Goans and has demanded an apology from Cipla for keeping out Goans from recruitment. He was reacting to the information that Verna-based Cipla was keeping out Goans from recruitment.
He said, “The companies are warned not to replicate or repeat such an act. If this kind of act is noticed in the future, as the President of Goa Forward, I warn that you’ll be driven out of the State.”
“If such multinational companies keep away Goans from recruitment, then, the entire plan of reverse migration into Goa will fail,” Vijai said.  “We are considering of giving across the board FAR increase for industries in Goa to accelerate industrial growth, employment and expansion. But all these facilities will only be given if the Goans get the job opportunities,” he said. “Leave Goa if you don’t want to employ Goans. What is the contribution of these companies for Goa’s GDP? How do we get back all the brain drain to Goa by this attitude?” he asked. He has called upon the people to monitor these industries for such acts.
