In a dramatic incident, a gas-carrying vehicle was asked to stop by officials of Legal Metrology department officials at Verna. The driver however did not stop and took the vehicle into the interior roads and then abandoned the vehicle near the godown at Quelossim and ran away. It is suspected that the agency was doing pilferage of gas. Further investigations are on.
