Legislature Secretary Kothandaraman resigns

PANJIM, JUNE 10
 In a sudden development, Secretary, Goa Legislature, R Kothandaraman has quit.  He was relieved of the post by the Speaker Pratapsing Rane today, official sources said.
Kothandaraman was serving his second stint in the Goa legislature secretariat.  His first stint was around six years ago when he was brought on deputation from the Lok Sabha secretariat when Mr Rane was speaker.
Well-versed in parliamentary rules and procedure, Kothandaraman was for the second time, brought  on deputation from Delhi one and a half year ago. Some months ago, he resigned from the government service — the parliamentary secretariat. And he was taken on contract basis by the Goa legislature department.
J N Braganza, Joint Secretary (Legislature) has been given charge until further orders, the sources said.
