PONDA: Leopard trapped in a wire-snare laid by a poacher died in Dharbandora forest.
According to Forest Department officials, after they got information that a leopard was trapped in wire-snare trap laid by poachers, a team rushed to the spot.
Though the animal was alive at that time, but was struggling for life. The officials tried their best to rescue the animal. However, it breathed its last and died on the spot.
Poachers often lay traps for wild boar meat and other animals. The Forest officials said a probe will be conducted in this regard.
