Lessons that leaders must learn

This is food for thought for those in leadership roles in any form and have some in influence over people. This is about core values. And this story offers some good insights

A teacher in a college held up a two thousand rupee note in class and asked his students who wanted the note. Many hands went up. The teacher then crumpled up the note thoroughly and again asked his students if they wanted it. Yet again almost all hands went up. The teacher then put down the note on the floor and stamped on its shoes, making the already crumpled note dirty. He asked yet again, how may want it and yet again many hands went up.

The teacher then paused and said “My dear students, I’ve just shown you a vital lesson. NO MATTER WHAT I DID WITH THIS MONEY, YOU STILL WANTED IT BECAUSE IT NEVER LOST ITS WORTH. There are many times in our lives, when we feel our lives are crumbling or we need to make some bad decisions because of forced circumstances, sometimes leading lives that make us feel worthless. But no matter what has happened or will happen, never lose your worth or value.

Not losing one’s core value is as much as a lesson for India, the world, or our Goa. if we value ourselves, we will not take actions with devalue our sleeves, our society, and our land
