Life guards rescue 2 at Colva

Life Guards deployed at the Colva beach has rescued two persons from drowning on Sunday.
In the first case, 22-year-old Hemraj Bharti had entered into the waters in a no swimming zone. He was pulled inside with a dumping wave when he was chest deep water. A lifeguard Gurudas Pagi noticed Bharti struggling the waters and making gestures for help and immediately conveyed the information to lifeguards Pritesh Gaude and Rockey Fernandes.
Rocky is reported to have ran towards Bharti with a rescue tube and secured the victim, while lifeguard Gaude gave a backup with rescue tube. He was later handed over to his cousin brother after checking his vitals.
In the second incident, 21-year old Rajesh Kumar had entered the waters, again in a no swimming zone. Life guards Devidas Borkar and Vikram Gaude rushed to his rescue after he was found struggling and crying for help. The victim was brought to the shore safely with a Jetski.
