PANJIM: The lifting of election model code of conduct (MCC) has come as a sigh of relief to around one lakh candidates, who had applied for nearly 1,500 jobs in various government departments.

Sources in the Education Department confirmed that scrutiny of the applications were completed, just before the code came in; and that now, the process to issue call letters for examination would begin.
