As per the weather forecast issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Goa, the state is expected to experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers, which will likely affect several areas in both North and South Goa districts over the next 3-4 hours.
The IMD further predicts that these rain showers will be accompanied by thunder and lightning, as well as gusty winds reaching speeds of around 40 kmph in isolated areas. Rain-bearing clouds have been observed over the talukas of Quepem and Salcete, and other talukas are likely to be affected as well, as the clouds are moving generally towards the westerly direction.
