Light showers forecast in some places

IMD says rain/thunder showers likely to occur at isolated places today

PANJIM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and thunder showers at a few places in the State on Tuesday and dry weather during the subsequent three days.
“Rain/thunder showers likely to occur at isolated places in Goa on April 10 and 11. Weather is most likely to be dry over Goa during the subsequent three days. No warnings has been issued for fisherman for the next 24 hours,” the IMD report states.
In its forecast for Panjim and neighbouring areas, IMD has said the sky would remain partly cloudy with the possibility of light rain, while the maximum and minimum temperatures in the next 48 hrs are likely to be around 33.0 C. and 25.0 C respectively.
A few parts of Goa saw light showers on Sunday evening. IMD confirmed that light rainfall occurred at isolated places over Goa and with that the maximum temperatures changed and the highest maximum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius was recorded at Mormugao.
