Mapusa: In a tragic incident, a 36-yr-old lineman, Ladu Vishnu Pednekar, was electrocuted while performing repairs on an electricity pole at the Colvale industrial estate on Wednesday.
The incident occurred when the deceased, an employee of the electricity department had scaled the pole at around 11.30 am to repair the damaged line when he came in contact with a live wire and was electrocuted. He immediately fell from the pole and sustained multiple burn injuries. He was rushed to the GMC but breathed his last.
