PANJIM/Margao: The Old Goa Police seized illegally stacked liquor worth Rs 1.07 lakh from a residence in St Cruz on Wednesday.
Information shared by the local police states that the confiscation of 549 litres of liquor bottles was possible following a tip off from reliable sources.
The house from where the liquor was seized is located opposite the St Cruz outpost.
Meanwhile, Quepem Police seized liquor worth Rs 78,273 in two two separate raids at Succur Wine Store and Seby Wine Warehouse at Nirmalnagar, Quepem.
The police said the liquor bottles were handed over to the Excise Department, Margao after the panchanama.
