VASCO: The Railway Protection Force seized liquor bottles at Vasco and Kulem.
On Friday, Narasimha Murthy, ASI, Castlerock along with staff during escort duty of Train No 08048 Vasco-da-Gama–Howrah Express found one unclaimed bag between Vasco and Madgaon containing 48 liquor bottles. The total value of liquor is Rs 1,248. These bottles were handed over to Excise Inspector at Vasco.
On Saturday, liquor bottles were also seized at Kulem. R M Angadi, head constable, Castlerock received information on liquor bottles loaded in goods train from Kulem for illicit transport. Parameshwer S B, constable Castlerock found 3 bags full of liquor bottles in the goods train. The total value of seized liquor is Rs 8,179.
