Loads of waste dumped along Margao road

Strange it may seem, but true. Around 5-6 truck load of domestic waste was found along the road near the wholesale fish market in the jurisdiction of the Margao Municipal Council.
As the waste covered a portion of the main Margao-Seraulim road, a group of youngsters tried to tackle the waste in their own way, but in vain.
Taken aback by the non collection of the waste, youngsters Kabir Moares, Sachin Moraes, Bazil Pinto and Milroy Goes descended at the spot and tried to clear the waste with some implements.
However, given the magnitude of the problem, the youngsters were advised by local residents of Madel to leave the waste for collection by the Margao Municipal Council.
IT was later decided to draw the attention of the Margao Municipal administration to the pathetic situation on the main road, posing nuisance and a health hazard.
Locals informed that this is not the first time that waste has landed on the main road near the PDA wholesale fish market. As reported by Herald recently, nearly half the road was covered with domestic waste, indicating that outside waste is finding its way in the city.
