PANJIM: Deputy Speaker and Calangute MLA Michael Lobo on Thursday said that the State government should bring in strict laws and penalise those littering.
Lobo, speaking at the inauguration the organic solid waste management plant at Patto said, “Some strict measures have to be taken and I have told the Chief Minister that if such measures are not taken the people will just litter the place with garbage. Today, six trucks and 30 labourers are working to collect roadside garbage in the coastal area. Why should we go on collecting this garbage?” Lobo asked.
