MAPUSA: Calangute MLA and Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo on Tuesday said that time has come to tell the people of Goa not to give a hung assembly. The people should either vote the BJP to power with clear majority or make it sit in the opposition which, he said has become powerful nowadays. .
“I am ready to become the Leader of Opposition, because there is a need to bring to the notice of the government the ongoing wrongs. There is a need to bring the government on the right path. Therefore, there is a need for a good leader of the Opposition. We are ready to take up this. If people do not vote us to power and give us 22 seats, then, they should makes us sit in the opposition to save Goa,” Lobo said.
He also criticised the present political scenario in Goa where the “politicians are running behind power.”
“They are creating a situation in the State where there is a need for elections in Goa. The people from the State will show them their place this election,” Lobo said.
