MARGAO: Quepem Police Inspector Ram Askra has arrested Rajesh Taddi, a resident of Cabo de Ram, Betul, in connection with the kidnapping and assault of two youth including a minor on May 22 at Cabo de Rama.
PI Askra informed that Taddi was the one who had phoned and gathered informing about the location of he victims. He further stated that teams of police had visited the houses of three accused named by an NGO; however, they were not found and were absconding. Police brought a number of residents from Cabo de Ram for questioning and Taddi was arrested from among them. PI Askra stated that police will arrest those identified in the video footage and stated that statements of the two victims have been recorded.
