PONDA: Curti-Khandepar local Rocky Dias questioned Rocky Dias said if panchayat don’t want to issue fines why they installed CCTV at black spots. Is it just a show piece in Panchayat area?
According to Rocky, six month ago panchayat installed CCTV cameras near sports complex road and other areas, especially to keep vigil and issue fines to people dumping garbage at black spots. However, despite people dumping garbage at black spots and nullah and open spaces there is no challans issued to violators based on CCTV recordings. Rocky when questioned how many violators issued challans, the Panchayat staff told him that no challans were issued based on CCTV vigil.
Rocky Dias recently caught one violator red handed recorded in camera while dumping garbage. He handed over his details to Panchayat. However, panchayat again failed to issue notice to violators.
