Citizens of Varca have expressed frustration pertaining to the alleged destruction of the sand dunes at Varca beach by one of the leading hoteliers from the coastal belt of Salcete. Speaking to Herald TV, few citizens have demanded the government to intervene and act immediately. As claimed by the people the concerned hotelier has destroyed the sand dunes by removing the sand making way for the sea water to enter into the locality. They also alleged that there had been violations of CRZ norms.
