PONDA: The locals along with Curti Village Panchayat Sarpanch Dadi Naik, Deputy Shailesh Sheet have opposed the construction of road made of paver blocks on Curti service road stating that it will invite accidents.
It may be recalled that the Sewerage Department, which has dug the roads for the sewerage lines one year ago, has now started the work of restoring and repairing of the roads with paver blocks.
However, according to the locals, with the constant movement of vehicles, the pavers on the road will be loosen and separate and riding on it will become dangerous thereby risking life of the commuters.
They demanded that the road should be constructed with laying of rubber soling or should be made of concrete.
