CUNCOLIM: The GSPCB has directed the Superintendent of Police to locate the illegal borewells in Cuncolim Industrial Estate.
Informing the police that a borewell contractor has drilled borewells in the fish meal plants, the GSPCB directed the cops to ask the contractor to show their exact location and submit a report within seven days.
It may be recalled that the Goa State Pollution Control Board had recently raided four fish meal plants and had found 32 illegal borewells.
in premises of United Marines, Quality Foods, Sagar Feeds and Indotech. These plants were found dumping effluents in the borewells.
