PANJIM: Dr Ram Manohar Lohia’s 109th birth anniversary was observed on Saturday by organising a medical camp for motorcycle pilots, taxi and auto rickshaw drivers at Lohia Maidan by the 19th June Kranthi Din Samiti.
In all, 350 people were screened during the camp that commenced at around 9.30 am and ended at 1 pm. 200 people including former chief minister Digambar Kamat got their diabetes and blood pressure checked.
Around 150 people checked their sight of which around 80 persons were asked to wear spectacles and they will be provided those free of cost by Kohinoor Opticians for which the Samiti president Avivash Shirodkar thanked Adesh Karwarkar.
