PANJIM: The Goa Lokayukta investigating team has found serious defects in the functioning of 16 driving schools operational in Tiswadi taluka.
The Lokayukta office has served notice to Assistant Director of Transport, Panjim, in this regard. The hearing is scheduled on November 17, following which further notices would be served. Sources informed that taking suo moto cognizance of media reports, Lokayukta investigating team held surprise checks of the functioning of the 16 driving schools in Tiswadi.
During the inspection, it found that these schools had poor of vehicles, etc.
“Further action would be based on the submission of the transport department,” sources said.
