PANJIM: Goa Lokayukta has sent a report to the Chief Secretary with names of local self government public representatives such as councillors, sarpanchas, Zilla Panchayat members who have failed to declare their assets as per the Lokayukta Act.
An official of the Goa Lokayukta office said copies of the report have also been sent to all civic bodies.
The Lokayukta had earlier asked public functionaries in the State to submit details of their assets and liabilities for the financial year 2016-17 before June 30 last year.
Earlier, Urban Development Minister Francis D’Souza had said the government would bring in amendments to the Act, wherein councilors who fail to submit financial details to the Lokayukta would be liable for disqualification.
