PANJIM: Goa Lokayukta P K Mishra submitted the report of ministers and MLAs assets and liabilities to the Governor of Goa.
Twelve MLAs, including Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar, Speaker Anant Shet and Deputy Speaker Vishnu Surya Wagh, have not declared their assets and liabilities to the Lokayukta.
As per the Goa Lokayukta Act, if public functionaries do not furnish their annual assets and liabilities report within the specified time then this has to be reported to the further competent authority who is the Governor.
However, the Act says that MLAs still have two months time to declare their assets and liabilities or the matter will be placed before the State Legislative Assembly if there is no submission even after the report goes to the Governor.
The list of other MLAs who have not submitted their statements are Benjamin Silva, Nilesh Cabral, Francisco (Mickky) Pacheco, Rajan Naik, Glenn Ticlo, Pandurang Madkaikar, Atanasio Monserrate, Jennifer Monserrate and Chandrakant Kavalekar.
