Lokayukta to hear bribery plaint against IGP Garg

PANJIM: Goa Lokayukta will hear the complaint against Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sunil Garg by a businessman accusing him of accepting bribe of Rs 5.5 lakh on September 1.

Lokayukta has issued notice to businessman Munnalal Halwai who had complained against Garg asking him to be present on September 1.
Halwai, a Vasco-based businessman, had filed a complaint with Lokayukta against Garg after Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) had failed to register FIR in the complaint filed by him.
