CANACONA: The 13th Lokosthav-2013 at Adarsh Gram in Poinguinim came to an end on Sunday, as Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza appealed to the people of Canacona not to leave the pace with nature while making self-development.
D’Souza also reiterated that only BJP can bring development and lift the living standard of Canacona people.
“Everything including education, employment by bringing in industries will be done, but never forget to always work in tandem with the nature,” he added.
Industries Minister Madhav Naik without mentioning the exact place announced that government has already finalized to set up an industrial estate at Poinguinim and 80% of preparation is completed.
“This industrial estate will help all the youth who are rallying behind Tawadkar for several years to get employment.”
Special guest Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh and president of ST Morcha Fagan Singh Khaluste also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, Adarsh Yuva Sangh president Umesh Gaonkar welcomed, organizing chairman and Sports and Tribal Welfare Minister Ramesh Tawadkar highlighted the achievements of Lokosthav, where over 40,000 people visited and vision to make Canacona eco and agro-based tourism hotspot, while Secretary Vishant Gaonkar proposed vote of thanks.
