PANJIM: In an attempt to provide relief to cops manning traffic under the sweltering summer sun, Goa Police have decided to change the half sleeves shirts to full sleeves.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic Cell Dharmesh Angle said the department has received complaints from staff of skin burning and after calling a ‘sampark sabha’ it was decided to give them the liberty to extend the sleeves of the uniform.
Angle said that currently long sleeve shirts are not compulsory but at the time of purchasing new uniforms they have been advised to consider them.
