MARGAO: Opposition leader Digambar Kamat welcomed the government’s decision to cancel the SSC examinations for the current academic year and urged the Chief Minister to take appropriate decision on the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination after consulting educationists in the matter.
He also suggested that a proper plan of action be prepared for the next academic year after consulting experts and said the plan of action should be for all levels of education and not restricted only to those where the board conducts the examinations.
He asked the government to ensure that proper network connectivity is established all over the State particularly at the centres where online entrance and aptitude tests will be conducted and said uninterrupted and consistent network connectivity will help students to concentrate and answer their exams to the best of their ability.
“I strongly believe that decisions pertaining to education and academic career of students must always be taken in proper consultation with experts in the field of education,” he said.
