Lord Damodar Temple reopens for devotees

VASCO: After a prolonged gap of 280 days due the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lord Damodar Temple in Vasco finally reopened its doors for devotees. 

The devotees will have to follow the SOPs such as wear face masks before entering the temple, maintain social distancing, hand sanitisation etc. No offerings will be allowed except prayers.

This year due to COVID cases, the annual Damodar Bhajani saptah celebration was low key with only a handful of devotees performing the rituals.

Ten devotees will be allowed at a time for five minutes to offer prayers. No offerings such as flowers, coconuts, etc, will be allowed. On Mondays, the temple will remain open from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm. While on the remaining days, the temple will remain open from 8.30 am to 12 noon and from 5 pm to 7 pm.
