‘Loud’ EDM at 7 am with no permission, gets party boys arrested

One from Mumbai and Delhi and 2 Goans arrested for trance party at beach club flouting every rule

ANJUNA:  Anjuna Police arrested Harshit Kantaria, a native of Mumbai, Elaino Pereira and Farid Khan, both residents of Vagator and Karang Narang, a native of Delhi for organising an EDM/loud music party thereby creating noise pollution in the vicinity, without obtaining any permission from the competent authority.

According to police, the incident occurred on Monday when they received a call at 7 am informing them that a loud music party was going on at beach  club at Vagator. Immediately, a team of police headed DySP Uday Parab rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. Police also seized the belongings including musical instruments.

“Yes, that’s true, the party was on after 7 am,” according to the information given by the SDPO Mapusa (DYSP) to the SP North, the accused ‘organized an EDM/loud music party carrying noise pollution in the vicinity without obtaining any permissions from the competent authority’.

All the four accused were arrested for violations under the Noise Pollution (Regulations and Control) Rules 2000 and Section 15 of The Environment (Protection) Act 1986. Mapusa SDPO Uday Parab is investigating the case.
