MARGAO: The election of new sarpanch of Loutolim that was scheduled on Friday has been postponed to November 14, following a corrigendum issued by the Director of Panchayats.
The election was postponed due to technical reasons as the required period of notice was not fulfilled.
The election was necessitated after Filpina Fernandes resigned as sarpanch on October 25 that was directly submitted to the Director of Panchayats without marking a copy to the Block Development Officer.
