MARGAO: Residents of Babu Nagar, Margao who have had water supply issues in their locality for the last two decades have complained that the problems have increased recently.
The residents, who conveyed their grievances to the PWD also criticised the authorities and elected representatives for having given them false assurances as the situation is still unresolved.
The locals pointed out that the water that is supplied through the PWD pipeline has low pressure and thus it reaches only a few houses, while the rest are forced to make alternate arrangements constantly.
Even houses that get water lamented that it is of little use as low pressure in supply doesn’t suffice the need.
PWD officials inspected the area and assured them that their concerns would be addressed soon and the matter had been taken up with the higher authorities.
