LPG blast: one succumbs

A 68-year-old man, who was injured in a cylinder blast mishap at Shantinagar-Vasco, succumbed to burn injuries on Tuesday morning.
It may be recalled that on Monday afternoon, deceased Ramanna Gulappa Huggi along with her sister had sustained severe burn injuries, after accumulated LPG gas cloud, which was formed, bursted into flames due to the spark from the electricity switch in their room at Shantinagar.
According to Vasco Police, both the brother-sister duo, Huggi and Styamma Assangi (65) had sustained burn injures and were admitted in GMC Hospital. “Huggi succumbed to burn injuries on Tuesday morning,” informed police.
