PANJIM: Suspended Lady Police Sub Inspector Devyani Naik has appealed before the High Court of Bombay at Goa to quash the FIR against her at Anti Corruption Branch. The court issued notices to the ACB on Wednesday.
ACB earlier this month had registered an FIR against former DIG Vimal Gupta in alleged bribery case in which Naik, her husband and suspended Constable Chetan Morajkar were also named.
The FIR was registered following directions from the government against Gupta for allegedly demanding a bribe from Naik to clear and close a Departmental Enquiry against her. All four have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act.
