QUEPEM: Two minor girls had a lucky escape when their house was damaged in a lightning strike at Shirdona-Molcornem on Tuesday night.
Krishna Gaonkar, whose house was damaged due to the lightning strike, said the impact was such that the wall developed a massive hole. Kamini Gaonkar, a housewife and the mother of the above two girls said her daughters were saved by the grace of God.
She said the impact of the lightning strike was such that two rooms of the house were badly damaged.
Later, Sanguem MLA Prasad Gaonkar along with the Molcornem panchas visited Kamini’s house and assured financial assistance.
