A potentially disastrous incident was narrowly averted when
a KTC electric bus collided with a compound wall in Chicalim. The incident
unfolded as the KTC electric bus was travelling from Panaji to Vasco. Near Asma
Bar in Chicalim, around 9:30 am, an oncoming taxi unexpectedly veered into the
middle of the road. The bus driver swerved to avoid a collision and moved
towards the side of the road.
Simultaneously, a Baleno taxi, which had been parked nearby,
started moving towards the side of the road. In an attempt to avoid the Baleno
taxi, the KTC bus grazed it before eventually colliding with the compound wall
of Asma Bar. Fortunately, both the driver and passengers emerged from the
incident without serious injuries.
