MARGAO: A COVID patient and MTS worker on Saturday escaped with minor injuries when a portion of the false ceiling of the South Goa District Hospital collapsed on them exposing the substandard work.
Sources said the incident took place at around 4 pm.
This district hospital was made recently made operational to treat the increasing number of COVID patients.
The portion of the false ceiling collapsed on the third floor in ward number 301, where the COVID patients are undergoing treatment. Both the COVID patient and the MTS worker were later given primary medical treatment.
The district hospital presently has nearly 60 patients.
