Luizinho keeps aloof, no plans to be chief

Reginaldo too asserts that he isn’t keen on taking over

MARGAO:  All India Congress general secretary Luizinho Faleiro on Tuesday said a firm no on plans to take over reigns of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, but suggested his magic formula of unity, discipline and consolidation of the organisation to lift the party from the sorry state of affairs.
Faleiro steered himself clear of the row surrounding GPCC chief John Fernandes saying he knows nothing on any move to replace the GPCC president.
When the media pressed him to comment on speculations that he is set to take over the GPCC leadership, Faleiro shot back “I am in Delhi, where I have a lot of work, being the in-charge of seven north eastern states. I have no time to attend to my work in Delhi and I will not be in a position to spare time for Goa”.
Meanwhile, even as reports did the rounds that Reginaldo Lourenco may be appointed as an interim GPCC president, the Curtorim MLA on Tuesday asserted that he is not interested in taking over the party reigns.
