MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) secretary Urfan Mullah called on GPCC president Luizinho Faleiro to lead the party in the 2017 Assembly election and enable it to form the next government.
On the sidelines of a State Karate Award function on Sunday, which was attended by Faleiro, Urfan informed that the GPCC and Navelim Congress Block workers had pleaded with Faleiro to accept their request to contest the 2017 elections from Navelim. He stated, “Many youngsters look up to Faleiro and expect him to give the party a new direction. We all feel that he should once again lead the party and provide a good government for Goans.”
Urfan also made references to Faleiro’s past and spoke about how the GPCC president had led the Congress to victory in two elections.
