MARGAO: Former chief minister Luizinho Faleiro and sitting Congress MLA Wilfred D’Sa have denied allegations made at the Goencho Awaaz meeting on Friday.
.Both assert their lands were demarcated as settlement zones in the Regional Plan 2001 itself
.The remaining properties on the island are owned by five families belonging to the Mascarenhas or Silvas who Luizinho claims are now unhappy because their settlement zone has been changed into green areas
. Luzinho says he supports the movement against the RP21 and claims he is opposed to RPs, PDAs and ODPs
.The former CM claims he had quietly got Navelim constituency delinked from the SGPDA and also kept it out of the Margao ODP
. Wilfred, alias Babashan D’Sa, refuting allegations as false, says it is his ancestral property and he has been paying house tax for many years
. Nilesh Cabral has threatened to file a defamation suit against Goencho Awaaz members if they fail to give a written apology for allegedly making false allegations.
