MARGAO: Sarpanch of Macazana Village Panchayat Cristina Vas was on Wednesday voted out of office in a no-confidence motion.
The motion was carried by 4-3 votes at a meeting which was attended by BDO’s observer Alaudin Maniyar.
It was tabled by Joaquim M Costa, Tereza Almeida e D’Costa, Joao Milagres D’Costa and Francisco A D’Costa, who charged the Sarpanch of non-cooperative attitude in implementing developmental works and not taking members into confidence.
