VALPOI: For the past two days, Madai Villagers are facing acute water shortage. Taps have run dry and the villagers have complained to the water supply department that the water tank transformer is not functioning properly and needs to be replaced.
According to villagers, on every religious occasion or during a festival, they are facing water shortage in the village. This time it is on Mahashivaratri.
Gokuldas Gawade, a villager, says, “the water tank transformer is not working properly. Despite several complaints no one is taking any action.” “If in the month of February we are facing water shortage, then what will happen in the summer season,” questioned another villager Tukaram Gawade.
