Madam Sonia Gandhi, will you allow a non-electable Girish and his merry men to hijack your party in Goa?

The farce that
the GPCC president Girish Chodankar and his “group” are playing out in a
desperate bid for the GPCC president to remain in position after his drama of
quitting twice was amplified by his coterie including the likes of Sankalp
Amonkar, another serial election loser, is the final nail in the Congress
coffin.

The ugly fracas
of Amonkar threatening to split the party if his groupie Girish is removed from
the party, smacks of a ploy by the Chodankar camp and their internal supposed
dirty tricks department to orchestrate this fracas, under the guise of a party
protest against his apparent removal.

For Amonkar to
actually use the word “group”, mentioning that “our group: consists of frontal
organisations, PCC members and blocks” is shocking. Does he or his party
president belong to or speak for a group or for the party. And did the “office
bearers” as the Girish group put it – “of various Congress committees,” say
they don’t want a change of leadership or did the party officially make this
demand? This is nothing but a desperate attempt by a non-electable group of
Congressmen, many of whom are in the middle of doing side deals with other
parties for tickets, to cling to power. And many in this group have been
promised tickets by a president who does not even win elections. Is this a
joke?

Sonia Gandhi, the
omnipresent boss of the party needs to be asked “will you allow a non-electable
Girish and his merry men to hijack your party in Goa? And have people who have
no chance of winning elections, get tickets to carry on the pretence of trying
to come back to power?”
