Margao town police stated that they had had registered offences under section 279, 338 of the IPC against Maddel resident Sayad on behalf of the state.
Police stated that on June 10, at 10.45 am, at KTC bus stand, the accused rider of the motorcycle bearing No GA-08-U-3222 was riding in a rash and negligent without taking proper care and caution. They added that the accused, in the process of overtaking, dashed the Pleasure scooter bearing No GA-08-W-1116, which was proceeding in same direction as a result of which the scooter rider 52-year-old Diogo Menino Frias, along with his scooter fell on the road. The Ambaji Fatorda resident sustained fracture injuries to his right leg knee. Police added that further investigation is in progress.
