CHORAO: Chodan-Madel Sarpanch Divya Usapkar has assured to look into allegations of illegal constructions in the panchayat area.
The sarpanch was responding to demands from villagers during the Chodan-Madel Gram Sabha .
When the issue of the illegal construction and allotment of house numbers was raised by Sanjay Mandrekar and Krishnanath Chodankar, the sarpanch informed residents that the panchayat had sent a letter to authorities concerned to take action against those who had illegally constructed houses and transferred the house tax on the 20-point programme at Chamerem-Madel.
The former panch Milind Mahale raised the issue of immediate attention to flooding of the Pomburpa ferry road and asked the panchayat to form a new committee to resolve the problem with the assistance of the government.
