All the burglaries are alarming!
When people gather across Salcete the only talk at newspaper shops, pharmacies, ross omelette gaddas and petrol pumps is the fear of the evening and the burglaries across Margao. CCTV recorders, hard drives to safe CCTV footage, concealed CCTV wiring, motion sensor cameras and the police’s infectiveness in nailing the burglars is the talk of the town. The only surveillance the residents are grateful for are the street stray dogs that bark through the night and keep everyone alert.

Xaxttikars are also concerned with the multiple crosses including in Margao that have been damaged and broken which have begun to cause a communal stir. Comba residents fear these incidents and hope the police get cracking on these cases. Also the number of miscreants and anti-socials, who hang out outside Holy Spirit Church, is also a matter of concern for the residents.
Upaygoa.com & goaelectricity sites?
Margao residents are also angry that the water connection bill has www.upaygoa.com printed on it for online payments. The so-called goaelectricity.gov.in links always have their servers down or payment gateway not functioning and that the whole pay your bill online is a farce. Madganvkars hope the MMC’s pay house tax online is also sorted to the earliest.
GST please
In restaurants, tea shops, Udipi snack counters, the daily arguments amongst Madganvkars is over the GST levied and how the cost of items has gone up. But most residents in Margao are upset that their age old restaurants, cafes, tea shops and eateries are taxing them for a simple meal.
FDA raids in Margao by night?
While Madgaon residents welcomed the FDA raids to check GST readiness of restaurants and other services, Margao residents were irked that FDA doesn’t conduct raids post 6 pm which results in illegalities amongst the eateries and street food carts which go unabated since the FDA fails to work post 5pm.
